We are looking for a highly skilled Team Lead - SMSF with 3 to 7 years of experience in selfmanaged superannuation funds. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and handson expertise with BGL Simple Fund 360 and Class Super platforms to deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient SMSF services.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of SMSF accountants.
- Allocate workloads, monitor deadlines, and ensure SLA compliance.
- Conduct training sessions on SMSF software and compliance updates.

Technical & Compliance Expertise

- Review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and audit files.
- Ensure compliance with ATO regulations, SIS Act, and ASIC requirements.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and guide the team accordingly.

Software Proficiency

- Advanced working knowledge of BGL Simple Fund 360 and Class Super for fund administration, transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Manage data feeds, corporate actions, pension setups, TBAR events, and contribution cap monitoring.
- Drive automation and workflow efficiency using SMSF software tools.

Client Engagement

- Act as the primary point of contact for partner firms.
- Provide technical support and resolve complex SMSF queries.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear, skilled communication.

Quality Control & Process Improvement





- Implement internal review processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Uphold high standards of documentation and audit readiness.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- CPA/CA qualification preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of SMSF accounting experience, including team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of SMSF compliance, tax, and audit requirements.
- Proficiency in BGL360 and Class Super (mandatory); exposure to SuperMate is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and client service orientation.
