Position Title: Vice President, Server & Storage Management Lead
Function: IT Infrastructure Services
Reports To: Senior Vice President / Head of IT Infrastructure
Location: Mumbai

Job Summary

The VP, Server & Storage Management Lead will own the strategy, delivery, and governance of enterprise server and storage infrastructure services, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency across on-premises and cloud environments. This role combines deep technical oversight with P&L; accountability, client relationship management, and team leadership for a large infrastructure operations practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end strategy and roadmap for server, storage, and backup/recovery infrastructure across client environments
- Drive service delivery excellence, ensuring SLA/SLO adherence, uptime targets, and continuous improvement in incident, problem, and change management
- Lead capacity planning, technology refresh, and infrastructure modernization initiatives (virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, cloud migration, storage tiering)
- Manage P&L; for the practice, including budgeting, cost optimization, and vendor/licensing negotiations
- Build and mentor a multi-layered team of architects, engineers, and delivery managers; drive talent development and succession planning




- Serve as senior escalation point and trusted advisor for client stakeholders on infrastructure strategy, risk, and transformation
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, data residency, etc.)
- Partner with sales/pre-sales teams on solutioning, RFP responses, and new business development
- Drive automation and AIOps adoption to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
- Report on KPIs, risk posture, and transformation outcomes to senior leadership and clients

Required Skills & Experience

- 15+ years in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing server/storage operations at scale
- Strong technical grounding in server platforms (Windows, Linux, VMware), storage technologies (SAN/NAS, block/object storage), and backup/DR solutions
- Experience managing hybrid environments spanning on-prem and major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Proven track record of P&L; ownership, client governance, and large team management (100+ FTEs)
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience in BPM/ITO or managed services workplace preferred

Preferred Certifications

- ITIL v4
- VMware VCP / Storage vendor certifications (NetApp, Dell EMC, etc.)
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect)
- PMP or equivalent program management certification
