Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of railway projects from initiation to commissioning.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Coordinate with railway authorities, clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Review engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Conduct project review meetings and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, railway standards, and statutory regulations.
- Manage procurement, material planning, and subcontractor performance.
- Handle project cost control, billing, and budget monitoring.
- Resolve technical and operational issues during project execution.
- Lead and mentor project teams to achieve project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- PMP/PRINCE2 certification will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Indian Railways standards and project management practices.
Experience
- 8 to 15 years of experience in railway infrastructure, signaling, electrification, telecom, track, or metro rail projects.
- Experience in managing large-scale railway projects from planning to commissioning.
- Familiarity with EPC contracts and project execution methodologies.
