Role Senior Manager Civil Infrastructure
Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Lead, supervise, and implement robust technical standards, systems, and processes for Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works across all assigned projects.
2. Plan, review, and provide technical guidance for the structural design of reinforced concrete foundations, steel structures, and associated civil works for electrical substations and other infrastructure projects, including physical layouts, site layouts, and structural calculations.
3. Oversee the execution of high-quality interior fit-out works, including premium office spaces, academic buildings, and advanced research laboratory facilities, ensuring adherence to approved designs and specifications.
4. Manage rehabilitation, renovation, and repurposing projects to ensure structural integrity, functionality, and compliance with institutional requirements.
5. Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure execution is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
6. Ensure compliance with structural engineering standards, statutory regulations, safety norms, and project quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Independently manage project cost certification, quality assurance, schedule monitoring, budget control, risk management, and project closeout activities.
8. Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive technical and financial project documentation, ensuring timely reporting and effective use of contemporary project management tools and methodologies.
9. Coordinate and liaise with architects, consultants,
contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, monitor project progress, and ensure timely project delivery.
10. Develop technical specifications, review engineering drawings, and provide technical direction to engineers, designers, and drafting teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
11. Monitor project schedules, track milestones, identify project risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution within budget and timelines.
12. Provide regular project status updates, progress reports, and technical recommendations to senior management while driving continuous process improvements and operational excellence.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Civil Engineering, full-time, from a recognized university.
- 12–15 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Civil Engineering, with substantial exposure to structural design and site execution of industrial or infrastructure projects such as utility buildings, or similar heavy civil works.
- Exposure to MEP coordination (HVAC, Fire Protection, AV/IT systems) is preferred, reflecting a well-rounded understanding of integrated building systems.
Skills:
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, BOQs, tender documents, DBRs, and DPRs.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents.
- Strong judgment and communication skills to handle sensitive or high-stakes issues effectively.
