- Role Overview: Business Development (India Tax Platform - AI Digital Tax Solutions) The Business Development professional s primary role is to drive revenue and growth by positioning EY s India Tax platform, including Direct Tax, Indirect Tax (GST), and AI Tax Hub solutions, across target accounts. This role goes beyond traditional services selling it requires consultative, solution-led selling of platform-based tax transformation, helping clients modernize tax functions through automation, AI, data insights, and managed services. The candidate will drive relationships across client organizations (especially CFO, Tax Heads, and CIOs), ensuring successful adoption of EY s integrated tax solutions and platforms. Key Responsibilities Business Development Revenue Ownership
- Own the end-to-end business development and pursuit lifecycle, with accountability for revenue targets
- Drive growth by selling India Tax platform offerings, including: o Direct Tax transformation and compliance o Indirect Tax / GST digitization o AI Tax Hub (centralized tax workflow, automation, and compliance platform)
- Identify and convert opportunities for platform-led managed services and digital tax transformation ; Account Hunting Strategy
- Lead account mining and hunting strategy with a focus on digital tax transformation and AI Tax Hub adoption
- Develop account plans aligned to modernizing client tax functions using AI and automation
- Position EY as a strategic partner for tax digitization and platform-driven transformation
- Client Engagement Relationship Management
- Build strong C-suite relationships (CFO, Tax Head, CIO/CTO, Transformation Heads)




- Identify client pain points across tax compliance, reporting, manual processes, and audit readiness
- Present AI Tax Hub use cases, such as: o Automated compliance tracking o Integrated GST reconciliation and reporting o Real-time tax dashboards and insights
- Drive client satisfaction and platform adoption
- Solution Selling - India Tax Platform
- Clearly articulate the value of EY s AI Tax Hub and integrated tax technology ecosystem
- Position the AI Tax Hub as a unified layer across Direct and Indirect tax processes
- Work with tax and technology teams to create customized transformation-led proposals
- Demonstrate ROI through efficiency, compliance accuracy, and improved visibility
- Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with Client Service Partners, Tax SMEs, and Technology teams
- Drive integration across Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, and AI Tax Hub capabilities
- Lead internal account reviews and prospect shaping discussions
- Pipeline Proposal Management
- Own and manage a pipeline of AI Tax Hub and digital tax opportunities
- Lead proposal development for platform-led transformation deals
- Analytical / Decision-Making Responsibilities
- Align opportunities with EY s India Tax platform and AI Tax Hub strategy
- Assess client readiness for AI-led tax transformation and platform adoption
- Leverage market insights on tax digitization and regulatory tech




- Effectively operate within EY s matrix structure

Qualifications

- Master of Business Administration

- 6+ years of experience
