Manager - This role will manage internal teams, stakeholders and clients, in the view of ensuring the UK tax compliance deliverable are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality

Your key responsibilities
- Apply your technical knowledge to our engagements / clients in ways that produce strategic outcomes to some very complex issues.
- Anchor a book of business by delivering a high quality work product efficiently, with managing risk.
- Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our engagement economics. Drive margin outcome through effective utilisation of self and team.
- Provide meaningful business insights to client and onshore teams.
- Identifying potential opportunities for clients and potential additional opportunities that can be serviced from GDS.
- Learning and researching current market trends, to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Building relationships with onshore teams and demonstrating your technical expertise and sector/ industry specific knowledge.
- Supervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
- Lead end to end tax compliance cycle of the engagement and essentially collaborate with teams across EY.
- Develop knowledge in a broad range of tax technical and transaction skills and play a role of an effective change agent where required.
- Should have experience managing budgets, people and projects
- Participate in marketplace activities to expand professional network and contribute to the growth of practice through learning programs, Innovation Technology development.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- 8 - 13 years of experience working in UK Tax environment.
- A bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Could be a certified ATT, CTA, ACCA
- Strong tax technical knowledge of UK Corporate Tax
- A proven record of excellence in a qualified services or tax organisation
Ideally, you ll also have
- Awareness of other taxes in the UK
- Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation
