Position Summary

Arangath is an early-stage BIM and digital engineering consultancy built to serve the UK water sector through the AMP8 capital investment cycle (2025-2030), using a UK India delivery model: commercial presence in London, production capacity in Kochi. We are hiring a BIM Manager / Founder's Associate to lead BIM delivery for our Kochi team while working directly with the founders on the wider build-out of the company from delivery standards and hiring to client-facing technical credibility.

This is a dual-scope role. Day to day, you own BIM process, quality, and team output. Alongside that, you act as a founder's associate: a close working partner to the founders on delivery strategy, resourcing, and operational decisions as the company scales past its first clients. It suits someone who wants more ownership and visibility than a standard BIM Manager post offers, in exchange for the ambiguity of an early-stage company.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Leadership & Delivery

- Develop and implement BIM standards, procedures, and workflows aligned to ISO 19650 and tailored to civil infrastructure projects (water/wastewater a plus).
- Manage and maintain BIM models across live projects, ensuring accuracy, version control, and quality at each stage of development (LOD).
- Set up and run each project's Common Data Setting (CDE); ensure information is shared accurately and on time with clients and consultants.
- Provide frontline, project-specific support to design and modelling teams; act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related queries.
- Conduct regular model audits and quality-control checks; identify and resolve BIM implementation issues before they reach the client.
- Coordinate BIM efforts across disciplines and consultants; ensure the model output meets or exceeds the standards each project requires.
- Manage information exchange requirements, EIR compliance,



and model submissions across multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain BIM documentation, including production status reports, clash reports, coordination minutes, and issue logs.

Team & Resource Management

- Build and maintain each project's work schedule; track task progress against plan and flag slippage early.
- Prepare weekly status reports for the founders covering project progress, resourcing, and staffing needs.
- Support hiring for the BIM/modelling team; help evaluate candidates and onboard new joiners.
- Mentor and upskill team members on BIM tools and workflows; run periodic performance reviews.
- Manage software licensing and tooling installs, upgrades, and evaluation of new BIM-supporting software.

Founder's Associate Strategic Support

- Work directly with the founders on delivery-side decisions as the company moves from first clients to repeatable delivery capacity.
- Help translate client and market requirements into internal delivery standards, templates, and a reusable BIM library.
- Represent the company's technical/delivery credibility in select client conversations alongside the founders.
- Contribute to operational build-out of the Kochi office process, tooling, and team structure as headcount grows.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil/Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- 6 - 10 years of overall experience in BIM delivery for civil infrastructure projects, including at least 2 - 3 years managing projects or a team.
- Hands-on proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and CDE platforms (e.g. BIM 360/ACC, Revizto); working knowledge of ISO 19650 principles.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, quality standards, and constructability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication this role interfaces directly with founders and, at times, UK clients.
- Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity: fewer fixed processes, more direct ownership.
- Water/wastewater sector project experience is a strong plus, not a requirement.
