A Metals and Alloys Manufacturing company is looking for a Purchase Officer to join on an immediate basis.

Job Responsibilities:

- Receive Indents from the Manufacturing Units, Study the indents and get quotations for the items mentioned in the Indents.
- Make comparison statements of all quotations marking landed costs and L1, L2 and L3 vendors
- Good and clear communication skills are a prerequisite for the post
- Items for procurement may also include equipment/machinery such as CTs, Circuit Breakers, Relays, Panels, Motors, Meters, Conductors, wires, Cables, Cranes, Hoists, PTs, RVTs, Valves, Coils, Transformers Oils, Starters, VFDs, Electrical Panels, etc.
- Items may include industrial spares such as Nuts, Bolts, Blades, Switches, Lights, Fuse, Gloves, Helmets, Boots, Safety Shoes, etc.
- Handling Repairs and AMCs of JCBs, Tippers, fork Lifts, etc.
- Coordinate and Handle repairs of Motors, Fuel Pumps, Diesel pumps, etc
- To check, and prepare a list/log of all indents issued from the factory and their subsequent follow-up from Head Office.
- To send email / telephonic/verbal / written inquiries for all items received as per indents.
- Candidate must prepare comparison sheets for every item in MS Excel to arrive at L1 Price, Specs, and Quality.
- Coordinate with Transport,



Billing & Receipt of Interstate & Intrastate Purchase of Equipment.
- Developing and negotiating Vendors for Purchase within the state and other parts of India.

Job Requirements:

- Thorough knowledge of all major stores of Industrial Spares in A. T. Road, Aathgaon Area, and other parts of Guwahati region
- Prior experience in a Ferro Alloys manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Must have sound knowledge of the machinery, equipment, consumables, and spare parts used in Ferro Alloys production plants, including electrical, mechanical, and process-related spares.
- B Tech. B.E. Electrical from any reputed Institute with a minimum of 3/5 years and above experience in Purchase in the above field.
- Prior Experience in Purchasing Bulk Materials in any Ferro Alloys/Steel/Cement/ Similar bulk industrial products Industry will be preferred
- Positive Communication and sharp Negotiation Skills shall be required
- Interpersonal skills for handling local as well as interstate suppliers
- Multi-tasking, timely follow-up with suppliers/ vendors, Positive Attitude, Hard work & Sincerity are expected.
