Role OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our cleaning, sorting, and packaging facility in Jodhpur. The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining processing machinery including sorting, cleaning, destoning, grading, and packaging equipment to ensure consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards. This is a ground-level, critical role that directly impacts the quality of agri-commodities spices, pulses, and oilseeds that reach our customers.
Key Responsibilities

- Operate cleaning, sorting, grading, and packaging machines as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor machine performance during production runs and make real-time adjustments to ensure quality output.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of all assigned equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning of machine components, and minor adjustments.
- Identify mechanical or operational issues promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Ensure accurate calibration of sorting and grading machines to meet product specifications (size, colour, moisture, and purity standards).
- Support packaging operations including weighing, sealing, labelling, and batch coding in line with production targets.
- Maintain production logs, downtime records, material usage reports, and daily shift summaries.
- Handle raw agri-commodities (spices, pulses, oilseeds) with care to minimise wastage and preserve product integrity.
- Comply with all food safety (FSSAI,



FSSC 22000, BRC), hygiene, and housekeeping protocols within the processing unit.
- Coordinate with quality control and production teams to ensure output meets internal and export-grade quality benchmarks.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, company policies, and applicable industry standards.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience operating industrial processing machinery preferably in a food processing, agri-commodity, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with cleaning, destoning, colour sorting, or packaging equipment is a strong advantage.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and first-level maintenance.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, machine manuals, and basic technical documents.
- Attention to detail particularly in monitoring product quality on the line.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, including rotational shifts.
- Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Time management and a disciplined, process-oriented work ethic.

Qualifications & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Food Technology or a relevant trade certification. A B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is also welcome.
- 2–4 years of experience in machine operations, preferably in food processing, agri-processing, or packaging industries.
- Prior experience handling grains, pulses, spices, or oilseeds processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with packaging line operations, including weighing and sealing machines, labellers, and batch coders.
- Basic understanding of production documentation, quality checks, and reporting procedures.
