Job Description – PGT Commerce *Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Commerce *Department: Academics Job Summary The PGT Commerce Teacher is responsible for teaching Commerce subjects to senior secondary students (Classes XI & XII) in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will create an engaging learning environment, foster conceptual understanding, and prepare students for board examinations and competitive opportunities. Key Responsibilities * Teach Commerce subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics (if assigned), and Entrepreneurship as per the CBSE curriculum. * Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments. * Deliver interactive and student-centric classroom sessions using contemporary teaching methodologies. * Monitor and evaluate students' academic performance through regular tests, assignments, and examinations. * Provide timely feedback and academic support to help students improve. * Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations and school assessments. * Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and academic documentation. * Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom teaching. * Participate in parent-teacher meetings, faculty meetings, workshops, and school events.



* Mentor students and contribute to their overall academic and personal development. * Ensure classroom discipline and maintain a positive learning environment. * Perform additional academic or administrative duties assigned by the school management. Qualification * Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com) from a recognized university. * B.Ed. from a recognized institution. * Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and examination pattern. Experience * Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school (preferred). * Experience teaching Classes XI & XII is desirable. Skills Required * Excellent subject knowledge in Commerce. * Strong communication and presentation skills. * Effective classroom management abilities. * Proficiency in MS Office, smart boards, and online teaching platforms. * Student-centric teaching approach with strong mentoring skills. * Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
