System Installation and Configuration Assist in or perform the installation of various ELV systems including CCTV Closed-Circuit Television Access Control Fire Alarm Systems Intercom Public Address PA Systems and BMS Building Management Systems Ensure accurate networking connections wiring and cabling according to project specifications Perform system programming and ensure proper integration into the centralized network or monitoring station Testing and Troubleshooting Conduct thorough testing to verify the functionality and performance of installed systems Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wiring faults equipment communication failures and system breakdowns Utilize tools like multimeters and signal testers to diagnose and fix problems Maintenance and Repair Perform Preventive Maintenance PM routines on systems e g cleaning cameras inspecting cables Replace faulty sensors cables and connectors Update system software and firmware as required Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of installation procedures service requests defects and testing results Provide progress reports to senior engineers or project managers Assist in preparing technical drawings and As-Built Drawings 2 Required Qualifications and Skills Education Degree or Diploma in Electrical Electronics Telecommunications Engineering In some technician roles an ITI Industrial Training Institute certification may suffice Technical Skills Solid knowledge of ELV Systems CCTV Access Control Fire Alarm Networking Fundamental understanding of IP Networking and Structured Cabling Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Familiarity with software like AutoCAD for design-focused positions Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills Knowledge of Safety Standards and regulatory requirements related to ELV systems Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 20 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Work Location In person
