Chennai Tamil Nadu Work Type Full Time About the Company Ubifly Technologies wants to make transportation clean affordable and more importantly extremely fast We are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the air by developing electric flying taxis to make urban aerial mobility a reality In pursuit of this goal we have developed and tested 2 different classes of drone catering to cargo and surveillance based applications We are currently in the throes of developing our first passenger VTOL called the e200 a compact aircraft built for urban flying and capable of traveling 30 km in less than 15 mins About the Role The safety manager is responsible to the accountable executive for providing guidance and direction for the planning implementation and operation of the organization s safety management system SMS The safety manager provides SMS-related services to the certificated non-certificated and third-party areas of the organization that are included in the SMS and may have delegated responsibilities on behalf of persons holding positions required by regulations The selected candidate will lead Safety Management by being a multi-disciplinary liaison between the different teams while playing a key role in developing Safety Standards complying with Certification norms This person s authority and responsibilities may include but are not limited to Providing and allocating human technical financial or other resources necessary for the effective and effective performance of SMS Responsibility for the conduct of the organization s functions covered by the scope of the SMS and as described in the system description if applicable The authority to stop the operations if there is an unacceptable level of safety risk Endorsement and promotion of the safety policy Ensuring the establishment of the organization s safety objectives and safety targets Acting as the organization s safety champion Accountability for the management of and decision taken with respect to safety issues Qualifications Experience in a leadership role in SMS for at least 10 years Understanding of ARP4761 ARP4754A and AS9100 ARP5150A Understanding of Aircraft Systems Proven knowledge of Aviation Legislation and ICAO Annexes Project Management Principles Good to have Experience in rotary wing Experience of CEMILAC certification Experience of deputation as DGAQA Working knowledge of full life cycle of product development Trained and current in APQP IOSA ERP is an added advantage English Tamil and Hindi
