Purpose of the job The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning analysis and reporting for retail operations This role needs strong understanding of retail metrics inventory dynamics and cost control strategies to support business growth and profitability The ideal candidate will be both detail-oriented and commercially savvy capable of translating financial data into actionable insights Key Accountabilities Duties Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis Anticipates and directs financial analysis for the organization for retail FMCG brands Conducts benchmarking analysis Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders Develops short- and long-term budgets and coordinates financial planning Lead the annual budgeting process monitor budget performance and provide insights to optimize financial resources with respective Stakeholders and Unit Heads Reviews budget and account statements and elevates material variance from goals Develop financial forecasts and models to support business decision-making and strategic planning Develop and implement financial strategies policies and procedures to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization Financial Reporting Directs team efforts and workplan to collect data and produce reports for different audiences Prepares reports to communicate financial information in a meaningful way to different audiences Present financial reports to board members stakeholders executives and clients in formal meetings Accounting and Compliance Audits Sets organization s accounting processes and controls Coordinate with auditors for complete the annual audit external auditors for Store audits Adhering to Physical compliance due dates and government notices Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and internal control procedures Retail-Specific Insights Optimize inventory management pricing strategies and store-level profitability Analyse sales trends customer behaviour and channel performance Cost Control Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings for handling Retail FMCG P L Research and analyze financial reports and market trends o Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making Essential Qualification and Experience Mandatory Skills Competencies MBA Finance or equivalent 13 plus years of finance experience with 7 years in leadership role Desirable - o CA CPA CFA MBA o Prior experience in retail FMCG or consumer-facing industries preferred o Strong command of financial systems and tools Expert domain knowledge finance o Financial analysis o Accounting and Compliance o Retail finance operations Analytical Competences o Data Interpretation o Manage Cost Optimization Communication Competences o Stakeholder and vendor management o Clear oral and written communication Administration and Management Competences o Process monitoring and improvement o Organizing and planning o Result orientation People Management Competencies o Managing a High Performing Team o Teamwork and Collaboration Work location M G Road Job Type Full-time Advantages Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
