Vitaliz Biosciences JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title Process Microbiologist NOTE This document is an outline of the primary tasks assigned and may be changed at the discretion of the management formally or informally either verbally or in writing All team members are expected to assist Vitaliz in achieving its goals even if such tasks are beyond the scope of this outline The job description does not constitute an employment contract implied or otherwise other than an at will relationship and is subject to change by the management as the needs of the company and requirements of the job change Position Overview This position requires to manage the microbiological process from isolation to inoculum preparation as well as lead in-house research and development R D activities This role requires a strong foundation in microbiological techniques and a hands-on approach to optimizing and scaling microbial cultures for production purposes Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1 Perform microbiological isolation and culturing of microorganisms from raw materials environmental samples and production samples 2 Maintain microbial cultures ensuring their viability purity and consistency for downstream applications 3 Prepare inoculums for industrial-scale fermentations or other production processes ensuring optimal microbial growth conditions 4 Lead and conduct R D activities to optimize microbial culture processes including refining growth conditions media formulation and scaling protocols 5 Develop and improve microbial strains for industrial use focusing on increasing their efficiency yield and suitability for manufacturing processes 6 Monitor microbial growth analyze microbial behavior and apply this knowledge to enhance production and process efficiency 7 Implement and maintain aseptic techniques laboratory cleanliness and quality control to ensure the highest standards of microbiological results 8 Document experimental protocols results and methodologies in a clear and precise manner ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards 9 Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to the production team regarding microbiological-related issues 10 Conduct data analysis prepare detailed reports and present findings to management 11 Continuously review and evaluate the effectiveness of microbial processes recommending improvements based on R D findings Qualifications Competencies Position Requirements Master s degree in Microbiology or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Microbiology or similar role within the Functional Foods Nutraceutical industry Strong technical knowledge of microbial isolation culture maintenance Taxonomy inoculum preparation and process optimization Solid communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously Education and Experience Msc - Microbiology with minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Microbiology laboratory Travel Ability to travel as required by role Location Trivandrum Remuneration As per industry Will consider higher for deserving candidates Job Type Full-time Pay 360 000 00 - 480 000 00 per year Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Application Question s Are you willing to work on shift basis Do you have a degree in Microbiology or a related field e g B Sc or M Sc in Microbiology If yes please specify your educational qualifications How many years of experience do you have working with microbial isolation culturing and maintenance Can you describe the types of microorganisms you ve worked with in previous roles e g bacteria fungi yeast Have you been responsible for preparing microbial inoculums for large-scale production or fermentation processes Can you describe the steps you take to ensure inoculum preparation is optimal for scaling What experience do you have in optimizing microbial culture conditions or media formulation to enhance microbial growth or productivity How do you assess and monitor microbial growth during a process Are you willing to join us at Trivandrum Education Doctorate Preferred Experience Industrial Microbiology 3 years Required Work Location In person
