Roles and Responsiblity An electrician in a factory setting is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment This includes everything from basic wiring and lighting to complex machinery and control systems They must be proficient in reading blueprints troubleshooting electrical issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards Core Responsibilities Installation Installing new electrical systems wiring fixtures and equipment according to blueprints and schematics Maintenance Performing routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures Repair Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions including troubleshooting issues with wiring circuits and components Testing Using testing devices like voltmeters ohmmeters and oscilloscopes to evaluate electrical systems and components Safety Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and standards including those set by OSHA and the National Electrical Code NEC Troubleshooting Identifying and resolving complex electrical problems in various systems and equipment Record Keeping Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed Specific Tasks Maintaining and repairing electrical wiring equipment and fixtures Performing preventative maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems Installing and maintaining wires cables circuit breakers and fixtures Working with switchboards Inspecting electrical systems and components Responding to fault requests Providing suggestions for equipment replacement Installing current electrical appliances Diagnosing electrical problems using precision instrumentation Developing wiring diagrams Maintaining and repairing plant instrumentation Performing electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic system inspections Troubleshooting and maintaining programmable logic controllers PLCs and related systems Monitoring plant HVAC and other environmental controls Additional Skills to Highlight Technical Skills Demonstrate proficiency with hand and power tools as well as specialized electrical testing equipment Job Type Full-time Pay 8 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
