Job Summary The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately maintaining stock of drugs ensuring compliance with medical and legal regulations and counseling patients on proper medication use The role requires close coordination with doctors nurses and other healthcare staff to support safe and effective patient care Key Responsibilities Dispensing Patient Care Accurately dispense prescribed medications and check for drug interactions dosage and contraindications Provide clear instructions and counseling to patients on dosage side effects and storage of medicines Guide patients on diabetic cardiac and chronic care medications where required Inventory Stock Management Maintain proper records of drug receipts issues and stock balances Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely removal of expired near-expiry drugs Ensure availability of essential medicines and emergency drugs at all times Compliance Documentation Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with Drugs Cosmetics Act and hospital policies Maintain patient drug records billing and insurance documentation where applicable Support biomedical waste segregation related to drug disposal Collaboration Coordinate with doctors and nurses to clarify prescriptions if needed Participate in clinical meetings when required to discuss drug protocols Quality Safety Follow infection control and safety guidelines while handling medicines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area Regularly audit and report on drug usage patterns Qualifications Skills Bachelor of Pharmacy B Pharm or Diploma in Pharmacy D Pharm Valid pharmacy registration license with State Pharmacy Council Minimum 1-3 years of experience in hospital clinical pharmacy preferred Knowledge of drug interactions pharmacology and dosage guidelines Strong communication and patient counseling skills Proficiency in using pharmacy hospital software Work Conditions Location Hospital Pharmacy Ward-level supply Shifts Rotational shifts including nights weekends as required Dress Code Hospital uniform coat with ID badge Job Type Full-time Pay 10 000 00 - 11 000 00 per month Advantages Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
