Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of accounting principles and practices including GAAP and will be responsible for managing financial records preparing reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid foundation in financial analysis and reporting Duties Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes ensuring timely payments and collections Perform journal entries and maintain the general ledger accounting system Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning Conduct financial analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and other relevant accounting standards Provide mentoring to junior staff members in accounting practices and software usage Prepare regulatory reports as required by governmental agencies Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations Utilize QuickBooks Quicken PeopleSoft Sage Xero or other financial software for various accounting functions Experience Candidates should have a strong background in accounting with experience in both public and private sectors Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles is a plus The following skills are highly desirable Knowledge of financial concepts such as accrual accounting double entry bookkeeping debits credits Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Experience with tax preparation and compliance is beneficial Understanding of securities law wills trusts estate law may be advantageous for specific roles within our organization Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports effectively Join our team where your expertise will contribute to our success while providing opportunities for professional growth within the field of accounting Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 18 000 00 per month Work Location In person
