JOB DESCRIPTION I JOB DETAILS Job Title Senior Technician - CSSD Reporting Supervisor Supervisor II JOB PURPOSE To perform a variety of technical and supportive tasks to make sterile standard supplies available at all times III Key Responsibilities Core Responsibilities - To attend to emergencies during and after working hours To demonstrate through understanding and applications of Aseptic techniques and procedures Sterilization techniques and procedures Equipment and supply processing Infection control To manage and coordinate activities related to the distribution of surgical supply items To maintain and upkeep all related equipment of the department To ensure proper work flow work patterns are followed To ensure all legal and certification requirements are fulfilled To comply with the infection control parameters of MHC To generate departmental HIS To take active part in departmental quality training initiatives To assist management in controlling cost preparation of reports relating to product usage instrument distribution instrument loss and instrument replacement To adhere to company policies and practices on discipline decorum IV KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Measurable Deliverables Patient Customer care Timely availability of sterile supplies to Users Complaints from User departments Process compliance Documentation Adherence to maintenance schedule for all related equipment in consultation with biomedical engineers Active implementation of the departments QA program 100 adherence to equipment instrument decontamination processing sterilization and case cart management Compliance to SOPs Non conformance brought out in Audits Cost Revenue Minimise wastage People Participation in training Core Competencies Positive knowledge of machine upkeep and Inventory management Technical Competencies Well versed in Digital technology and has had an exposure in it Computer knowledge V JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications Diploma in CSSD Technology from a recognized institution Diploma in OT technician Course Experience preferably with 5 yrs experience in CSSD Behavioural Skills High level of communication and coordination Sound Health Language Skills English Hindi VI KEY INTERACTIONS Key Internal Contacts Key External Contacts HOD Nursing Physicians Front office All wards Biomedical Materials Visiting Consultants Patients
