Job Title AWS Solutions Architect - CloudFormation Cloud WAN Well-Architected Design About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code IaC using CloudFormation global networking with AWS Cloud WAN and designing cloud solutions that meet the highest standards of availability reliability security and disaster recovery The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable and resilient cloud environments aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework Key Responsibilities Design and implement AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation templates for automation and consistency Architect global network connectivity using AWS Cloud WAN including segment creation policy management and integration with existing VPCs and Transit Gateways Develop cloud solutions that ensure high availability fault tolerance and reliability across multiple regions and availability zones Implement security best practices including IAM policies encryption network segmentation and compliance controls Design and document Disaster Recovery DR strategies including backup replication and failover mechanisms Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to assess and improve cloud architectures across the five pillars Operational Excellence Security Reliability Performance Efficiency and Cost Optimization Collaborate with DevOps Security and Development teams to align infrastructure with business and technical requirements Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams Required Skills Qualifications 10-15 years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering with a robust focus on AWS Expert-level knowledge of AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code principles Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud WAN and global network architecture Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2 S3 RDS Lambda IAM VPC Transit Gateway Route 53 and Direct Connect Proven experience designing for high availability reliability and security in cloud environments Familiarity with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation in AWS Experience applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework in real-world projects Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Qualifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Experience with Terraform and other IaC tools Knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-region deployments Experience with monitoring and observability tools CloudWatch Datadog etc Background in regulated industries finance is a plus
