Kannan Tools Dies Position Overview The Big VMC Setter cum Operator is responsible for setting up operating and monitoring large-size Vertical Machining Centers used for machining heavy oversized and high-precision components The position requires strong technical expertise hands-on machining skills and the ability to handle large components safely and efficiently Set up large VMC machines with appropriate fixtures clamps jigs and tool holders Load and verify CNC programs Fanuc Siemens Heidenhain and confirm position references Perform dry-run and program simulation to check toolpaths and clearances Set work offsets tool length offsets cutter compensation and safe height parameters Execute heavy and precision machining operations including Milling pocketing profiling contouring Drilling tapping Facing slotting Surface machining on large components Follow operation sheets drawings and tooling instructions Maintain cycle times ensure reliable machining and achieve daily production targets Handle heavy components using cranes slings and lifting devices safely Monitor spindle load vibration coolant flow and heavy-cut conditions Identify machining issues such as chatter tool marks dimensional errors or poor surface finish Required Qualifications Education ITI Machinist Fitter Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering Additional certification in CNC machining is an advantage Experience 3-10 years of hands-on experience in VMC setup and operation Experience in machining large aerospace oil gas energy or heavy engineering components preferred Familiarity with Fanuc Siemens Heidenhain controllers and heavy machining setups Skills Strong knowledge of large-VMC setup heavy fixtures and 3-axis 4-axis machining Ability to read complex engineering drawings and interpret GD T Skilled in using precision measuring tools for large components Good troubleshooting and decision-making skills Knowledge of feeds speeds machining parameters and cutting-tool selection Facilities Accommodation Food Cab Uniform Shoes Benefits PF ESI Attendance Incentives Yearly Bonus Shift Rotational Shift Contact Mr SATHYAPRAKASH HR - (phone hidden) - (phone hidden) Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Perks Food provided Provident Fund Ability to commute relocate Kovilpalayam Coimbatore Tamil Nadu Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required Education Secondary 10th Pass Required Experience VMC OPERATIOR 3 years Preferred Work Location In person
