Location PIRANGUT PUNE Role Overview The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities for raw materials consumables packaging materials and services required in the contract packing industry The role ensures cost-effective purchasing timely supply vendor management and compliance with quality and company standards to support smooth production and operations Key Responsibilities1 Procurement Management - Plan and execute the purchase of raw materials packaging consumables steel coils plastic consumables cartons labels etc and services required for contract packing - Develop annual and monthly procurement plans in line with production schedules - Ensure timely availability of all materials to avoid production delays 2 Vendor Development Management - Identify evaluate and qualify new vendors for raw materials packaging consumables and logistics - Negotiate contracts rates and credit terms with suppliers - Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term reliability - Monitor vendor performance for quality delivery timelines and service 3 Cost Budget Control - Achieve cost savings through effective negotiation and bulk purchase strategies - Monitor and control procurement budgets minimizing wastage and excess inventory - Prepare periodic cost analysis reports for management review 4 Compliance Documentation - Ensure compliance with company policies statutory requirements and safety norms - Oversee preparation of purchase orders contracts and agreements - Maintain accurate and updated records of procurement vendor contracts and price lists 5 Coordination Communication - Work closely with production stores quality and logistics teams to align procurement with operational requirements - Resolve any supplier disputes quality issues or delivery delays - Coordinate with finance for vendor payments and reconciliation Key Skills Competencies - Strong negotiation and vendor management skills - In-depth knowledge of procurement processes in the contract packing packaging industry - Familiarity with raw materials packaging consumables and logistics - Excellent analytical planning and cost-control abilities - Proficiency in ERP systems MS Office - Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills Qualifications Experience - Graduate Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management Commerce or related field - Minimum 7-10 years of experience in procurement preferably in packaging or manufacturing industry - Experience in contract packing sector will be an added advantage Performance Indicators KPIs - Cost savings achieved against budget - On-time material availability for production - Supplier performance rating - Inventory turnover and stock accuracy - Compliance with procurement policies and procedures Salary Commensurate with Qualification and Experience Contact Details Please send your resume to below email concept1957 gmail com Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 40 000 00 - 45 000 00 per month Perks Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
