Hungry Humble Honest with Heart The Opportunity Nutanix is disrupting the multi-billion-dollar enterprise data center market by pioneering an enterprise cloud platform that leverages web-scale engineering and consumer-grade design to natively converge compute virtualization and storage into a resilient software-defined solution with rich machine intelligence Our vision is to make infrastructure invisible so IT can focus on the applications and services that power their business If you are up to the challenge and want to be a part of a team that makes history then this job might be for you About the Team We are looking for engineers who are passionate about working on scalable reliable distributed systems You will be part of the team which owns the X-Ray product at Nutanix and work on developing performance scalability and resiliency automated benchmarking software that demonstrates the capabilities of an enterprise platforms You ll have the opportunity to develop backend and frontend software for a complex application deployed on-premise and run as-a-service on the cloud You ll work with other engineers across the stack as well as product management and other product teams at Nutanix to deliver the latest functionality for the product Your Role Work on next-generation enterprise performance and resiliency benchmarking software Design and implement new features and functionality for both on-premise and as-a-service deployment models as part of a cross-functional agile development team Work with product management other engineers and teams to understand requirements and build the latest capabilities Build industry knowledge and experience within public private cloud HCI storage hypervisors and networking domains Provide excellent support for the product by engaging with customers partners and support Work closely with the Product UX and API backend teams to build a highly engaging UI that exceeds user expectations Writing efficient scalable and clean code in frontend along with unit and integration tests What You Will Bring BS MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 2 - 4 years of experience as a Frontend Developer Strong Knowledge of JavaScript Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks such as React Angular or Backbone Familiarity with HTML and CSS Solid understanding of HTML5 CSS3 and experience with preprocessors like LESS or SASS Proficient in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs including queries mutations and subscriptions Basic knowledge of back-end technologies Node js APIs etc is a plus particularly for managing frontend tooling and API integration workflows Responsive Design Experience in creating responsive designs that adapt across different devices and screen sizes Cross-Browser Compatibility Ability to ensure consistent appearance and functionality across various web browsers Experience with REST API semantics and design is a plus UI UX Principles Familiarity with basic UI UX design principles ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing interface Problem-Solving Skills Ability to debug and troubleshoot performance issues in front-end code Experience with front-end build tools like Webpack Gulp or Grunt Familiarity with TypeScript Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha Experience with Docker Kubernetes and multi cloud environments like GKE AWS Work Arrangement Hybrid This role operates in a hybrid capacity blending the perks of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration For most roles that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week however certain roles and or teams may require more frequent in-office presence Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager
