Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities of the facility with additional focus on leading and optimizing the packaging department This role ensures the efficient safe and quality-driven production and packaging of products adherence to regulatory standards and continuous process improvement across all areas of responsibility Key Responsibilities General Operations Management Safety Security Champion a culture of safety Ensure strict adherence to all EHS Environmental Health and Safety policies and regulations Conduct regular safety audits and address hazards promptly Production Planning Collaborate with Planning and Logistics departments to develop and execute daily weekly production schedules ensuring maximum utilization of resources labor equipment materials to meet customer demand and delivery targets KPI Management Define track and report on key operational performance indicators KPIs such as Safety Incidents Quality Defects Production Efficiency OEE Waste and Schedule Adherence Budget Cost Control Manage the operational budget for assigned departments identifying and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the primary liaison between Production Quality Assurance Maintenance Supply Chain and R D to resolve operational issues and support new product introductions NPIs Documentation Ensure accurate and timely completion of all operational documentation including batch records SOPs and performance reports Packaging Operations Supervision Specific Focus Lead and Manage Directly supervise the packaging line staff including hiring training scheduling performance management and development Process Optimization Drive continuous improvement initiatives e g Lean Six Sigma to enhance packaging line efficiency reduce waste minimize downtime and improve overall throughput Quality Compliance Ensure all packaging operations strictly comply with quality standards ISO Food Safety etc and regulatory requirements Oversee quality control checks and defect resolution in packaging Equipment Management Oversee the maintenance calibration and efficient operation of all packaging machinery e g fillers sealers labelers Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventative and corrective maintenance Material Management Work with Procurement and Warehouse teams to manage inventory levels of packaging materials ensuring timely availability while minimizing excess stock and controlling costs Required Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Operations Management Engineering Business Administration or a related field Experience 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in Operations or Manufacturing Management with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role specifically overseeing day to day operations and packaging Technical Skills Strong knowledge of packaging processes materials and machinery Familiarity with ERP MRP systems and data analysis tools Regulatory Knowledge Deep understanding of relevant industry regulations Leadership Proven ability to lead mentor and motivate a diverse team in a rapid-paced high-volume manufacturing environment Problem-Solving Excellent analytical and root cause problem-solving skills with a track record of driving process improvements Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 300 000 00 - 500 000 00 per year Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Paid time off Provident Fund Work Location In person
