Position Biomedical Engineer Department Biomedical Engineering Services Reports to Manager - Biomedical Head of Operations Job Summary The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for the installation calibration maintenance and repair of all medical equipment used in the hospital The role ensures that all biomedical devices function safely efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards Key Responsibilities Install test calibrate and maintain biomedical equipment and systems Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment Monitor equipment performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations Provide technical support and training to medical and nursing staff on proper equipment usage Maintain accurate records of equipment service repairs and calibration Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment servicing and spare parts Assist in the evaluation procurement and commissioning of new biomedical devices Ensure compliance with NABH JCI and other healthcare quality standards Respond promptly to breakdown calls to minimize equipment downtime Support in audits documentation and biomedical-related quality checks Skills Competencies Robust technical knowledge of medical devices and equipment Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Good communication and coordination skills Knowledge of hospital safety standards and biomedical regulations Ability to train end-users effectively Qualification Experience B Tech B E in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in hospital healthcare industry preferred freshers may also be considered Hands-on experience with diagnostic imaging and critical care equipment will be an added advantage Work Conditions Hospital-based role with on-call duty for emergencies Coordination with doctors nurses and technical staff May require weekend holiday support in case of critical breakdowns Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 20 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Work Location In person
