DESCRIPTION Amazon is looking for an entrepreneurial Vendor Manager who will own the P L and relationships with some of the largest vendors in Electronics and Kitchen As a Vendor Manager you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories you manage Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing vendor relationships negotiating terms and contracts expanding product selection setting prices setting inventory forecasts developing marketing programs driving sales and margin improvements and creating a best-in-class customer experiences The successful candidate will be able to take their broad skill-set and experience across multiple facets of retail to drive a successful business They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business innovate and overcome hurdles and achieve profitable long-term growth They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization Key job responsibilities Have a thorough understanding of the industry business trends events and continually monitor both industry and competitor developments Maximize Amazon s business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities Have an understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience Build vendor brand relationships - be the primary point of contact for vendor selection on-boarding escalations and negotiations Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders all while meeting tight deadlines Have a complete understanding inclusive of the strategic context of internal and external variables that impact your business This includes owning forecasting analyzing understanding and reporting on the business BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3 years of with Excel experience 5 years of retail operations product or program management or business management consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience Bachelor s degree or 3 years of skilled or military experience Experience with financial analysis and P L ownership PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements Experience in vendor negotiations pricing and promotion inventory management and product development Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit https amazon jobs content en how-we-hire accommodations for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
