Title Donor and Community Engagement Intern About Smile Train Smile Train is changing the world one smile at a time Our goal is to transform every person s life impacted by a cleft lip or palate We train and support doctors and medical professionals to provide our beneficiaries with free life-changing comprehensive cleft treatment Our sustainable model has allowed us to reach 1 5 million children in 90 countries and we re just starting We are truly changing the world with one smile at a time Smile Train is looking for exceptional people to join a worldwide team of dedicated passionate professionals Our team is creative and highly motivated individuals working to make a positive impact Join us Role Summary The Donor and Community Engagement Intern will assist Smile Train India s Fundraising and Communications team in day-to-day efforts for student volunteer donor reporting and community engagement activities The intern will be a core member of community initiatives such as the Student Engagement Program Volunteering Program Cleft Community engagement and will contribute to building long-term relationships with various stakeholders including but not limited to students donors volunteers educational institutions and government departments Reports To Senior Manager - Development India Key Responsibilities Assisting with Smile Train India s day-to-day efforts for community engagement activities Promote goodwill and raise awareness about Smile Train India among students donors and volunteers by conducting engagement activities and soliciting fundraising partnership opportunities Build and nurture relationships with educational institutions like schools colleges and develop a community of student ambassadors and supporters Curate speakers and ideas for fostering deeper engagement with the cleft affected community Support donor reporting engagement and servicing across all the fundraising activity as needed including but not limited to donor engagement events handling donor queries and receipting Collaborate with the communications and development team to design and create content collaterals creatives decks and activities for engagement program Support development team in ideation and execution of employee giving activity with our corporate donors Build relationships with government education departments to promote cleft awareness and integrate relevant content into their curriculum Support other activities of the Fundraising and Communications Department as per requirements Coordinate with colleagues to identify opportunities that will benefit the organization Required Education and Experience Bachelor s or master s degree in related field of sociology marketing or related field Excellent communication skills -
