Note This is a hybrid role combining remote and on-site work requiring 3 days in the office and relocation to Pune We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend QA Engineer with extensive experience in UI testing and a mandatory background in Cypress UI testing The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both JavaScript and TypeScript codebases and possess the ability to manage and maintain testing infrastructure effectively With a minimum of 6 or more years of industry experience including at least 3 years in QA and testing roles the candidate should have substantial exposure to GitHub CI CD pipelines Key Responsibilities Develop design and execute comprehensive UI test plans and test cases using Cypress Capybara Collaborate closely with frontend developers to understand code changes ensuring that new features are thoroughly tested before release Maintain and improve the existing automated testing frameworks focusing on scalability and robustness Analyze test results track defects and work with development teams to resolve identified issues Manage and maintain the testing infrastructure ensuring a secure environment for automated test execution Implement and monitor GitHub CI CD pipelines ensuring seamless integration and continuous delivery of software products Awareness and some experience in developing unit tests for React components using libraries such as Jest Enzyme or React Testing Library in a plus Mentor engineers bringing them up to speed with Cypress React JavaScript TypeScript and best practices in UI testing Participate in product design and specification reviews to provide valuable input from a QA perspective Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices to continuously improve testing processes Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field 7 years of professional experience in software testing with at least 3 years focused on frontend UI testing Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for automated UI testing Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript with the ability to understand and write codebases in both languages Proven experience in managing and maintaining testing infrastructure Solid understanding and hands-on experience with GitHub CI CD pipelines Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment hands-on experience writing technical documentation and architecture diagrams for web applications Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies Preferred Qualifications Experience with other UI testing frameworks like Selenium Playwright etc Knowledge of other testing tools and frameworks such as Jest Jasmine Mocha etc Familiarity with version control systems particularly Git Understanding of web technologies and modern frontend frameworks like React Angular or Vue js Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and tools Please note that Zendesk can only hire candidates who are physically located and plan to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra Please refer to the location posted on the requisition for where this role is based Hybrid In this role our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection collaboration learning and celebration -
