Designation Site Engineer - MEP Projects Function MEP Engineering Location North India Delhi Reporting To Site Manager Direct reports - NA Indirect reports -NA Job Overview The Site Engineer plays a key role in the site management team and is responsible for ensuring that the construction of MEP installations proceeds according to schedule budget and quality standards The Site Engineer supervises the day-to-day site activities manages materials and resources and ensures that all safety and health regulations are adhered to This role involves close coordination with subcontractors site managers clients and consultants to resolve any issues or challenges during construction Key Responsibilities 1 Site Management Timeline Control Plan and execute daily and weekly site activities as per scheduled targets Monitor and track project timelines ensuring that MEP installations meet established deadlines Provide regular progress reports to the Site Manager highlighting achievements delays and potential risks Maintain a clear and structured approach to site activities using project management tools like Microsoft Project MSP 2 Technical Support Problem-Solving Ensure construction activities are carried out as per engineering documents and designs Conduct site surveys to identify potential technical issues or challenges with MEP installations Troubleshoot and resolve any construction-related technical issues during the erection process Collaborate with subcontractors labourers and other team members to ensure smooth coordination and workflow on-site Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times on the construction site 3 Inventory Control Material Management Monitor material movements inward and outward and oversee inventory control in coordination with the store technician Verify stock levels with the store and the Purchase Assistant PA and request purchase requisitions PR from the design team if there is a shortfall Ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials to prevent project delays Maintain a positive and motivated work environment to ensure high team morale 4 Quality Assurance Documentation Conduct regular quality inspections on-site to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Address any snag points and ensure timely clearance before project handover Maintain accurate project documentation including site validations bill tracking and vendor subcontractor invoices Ensure timely submission of sales and vendor bills to clients and head office for approval and payment 5 Coordination with Stakeholders Act as the single point of contact at the site for client communications Collaborate with subcontractors labourers and other site management teams to ensure smooth execution of the project Authorities Communications Serve as the single point of contact for the client on-site Site Manager Decision Making Responsible for decision-making regarding commercial and physical aspects of the project with cost impact aligned to the project charter Site Manager to be informed Key Performance Indicators KPIs 1 On-Time Project Delivery Ensure that MEP installations are completed as per the project timeline minimizing delays and disruptions 2 Quality Control Maintain high standards of quality throughout the construction process ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards 3 Material Management Efficiently manage materials and stock levels to avoid project delays due to material shortages 4 Client Satisfaction Maintain effective communication with the client and address concerns proactively ensuring smooth client relationships 5 Issue Resolution Effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical and construction-related issues in a timely manner to prevent delays 6 Health Safety Compliance Ensure that the site remains compliant with health and safety regulations minimizing risk to workers and ensuring safe working conditions 7 Billing Documentation Track and submit sales and vendor bills on time ensuring smooth financial processes and documentation 8 Team Coordination Ensure seamless coordination between subcontractors site teams and stakeholders to maintain workflow efficiency Qualifications and Skills Educational Qualification BE in Mechanical Engineering DME in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Core Skills Strong technical proficiency in MEP systems HVAC Electrical PHE etc Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders Proficiency in MS Office Excel Word PowerPoint and Microsoft Project MSP Designation Site Engineer -
