The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students in making informed decisions regarding their education career goals and personal development The role involves providing academic advice supporting students in overcoming challenges and helping them achieve their academic and professional aspirations Key Responsibilities Provide academic and career counselling to students based on their interests abilities and goals Guide students in selecting appropriate courses programs or career paths Assist in preparing academic plans and monitoring students progress Address academic personal or adjustment concerns through one-on-one counselling sessions Conduct workshops seminars on career development study skills and personal growth Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure student success and retention Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions and student progress Stay updated with new academic programs industry trends and career opportunities Support students in applications for higher studies scholarships or competitive exams Provide parents guardians with updates and guidance on academic matters when necessary Key Skills Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy patience and active listening Knowledge of educational programs career options and counselling techniques Ability to motivate and mentor students Problem-solving and decision-making skills Organizational and record-keeping ability Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Education Prior experience as a counsellor academic advisor or in student support services preferred Job Type Permanent Pay 20 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Advantages Cell phone reimbursement Internet reimbursement Language English Required Work Location In person
