Job Summary The Senior Resident in General Surgery is a postgraduate trainee role focused on delivering patient care assisting in surgeries managing inpatient and outpatient surgical services and participating in academic and research activities The role is designed to provide advanced surgical training and prepare the candidate for academic or consultant positions Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Provide round-the-clock surgical care under the supervision of faculty members Assist in and perform surgical procedures in operation theatres wards emergency rooms and ICUs Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients admitted under the General Surgery unit Perform minor surgical procedures independently and assist in major operations Academic and Teaching Duties Attend departmental teaching sessions including case presentations seminars mortality and morbidity meetings journal clubs etc Assist in teaching MBBS and internship-level students under faculty guidance Engage in continuous learning and skill-building in surgical techniques and evidence-based practice Administrative Duties Maintain proper documentation of clinical notes operative records discharge summaries and consent forms Coordinate with nursing and paramedical staff to ensure seamless patient care Adhere to hospital protocols infection control policies and patient safety standards Research and Professional Development Participate in ongoing departmental clinical research or audits Contribute to writing case reports research papers and academic presentations Present clinical cases and academic work at institutional or state-level conferences Eligibility Criteria Essential Qualification MS General Surgery or DNB General Surgery from a recognized institution Registration Must be registered with the State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission NMC Experience 0-3 years post-PG experience as per norms for Senior Residency appointments Qualification - MBBS MS MD Eligibility - As per NMC Norms Speak with employer (phone hidden) (phone hidden) Mail Id esidiwagar gmail com elevatedsynergyindia gmail com Job Type Full time Pay 80 000 00 - 100 000 00 per month Work Location In person
