We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead our procurement operations and ensure the timely sourcing of quality materials required for uninterrupted manufacturing.

Job Summary

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, components, consumables, and services required for production. The ideal candidate should have solid vendor management, negotiation, and inventory planning skills with experience in manufacturing or electrical industries.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

* Source and procure raw materials, electrical components, sheet metal, copper wire, bearings, capacitors, packaging materials, and other production requirements.

* Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.

* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.

* Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement.

* Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Accounts departments for procurement planning.

* Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.

* Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

* Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.

* Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

* Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchasing reports.

* Resolve supplier-related issues including quality concerns,



shortages, and delivery delays.

* Prepare monthly procurement reports, cost analyses, and management MIS.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, or Business Administration.

* MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred.

* 5–10 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience in procurement of electrical or motor manufacturing components is highly preferred.

Required Skills

* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

* Knowledge of procurement planning and inventory management.

* Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.

* Familiarity with ERP software and Microsoft Excel.

* Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines.

* Understanding of GST documentation and commercial terms.

* Knowledge of cost analysis and budgeting.
