ü Responsible for maintaining Laboratory decorum & discipline.

ü Responsible for the regular checking of the expiry dates of all Lab chemicals and reagents inside the Laboratory

ü Supervise, monitor and direct various function of the lab technicians

ü Plan for requirement of technicians in different shifts.

ü Prepares indents for reagents and consumables.

ü Maintain departmental adequate stock.

ü Performs/helps in performing Quality Control (QC )as per directions of department Head.

ü Maintains quality control records.

ü Keep supervision over functioning of equipments and makes liaison with service engineers.

ü Maintains instrument log books.

ü Investigates/helps in investigating any system/technical non-conformance.

ü Keeps supervision over work of other technicians.





ü Give training to and educate other technicians whenever necessary.

ü Receive samples and test requisition slips from phlebotomist.

ü Processes the samples and performs tests as per requirement of test requisition slips and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and records results.

ü Send reports to dept. head/doctor for verification and approval of recorded tests.

ü Carry out re tests as per direction of lab doctor.

ü Verifies physical stocks in the dept. as required

ü Opening stocks & closing stocks on daily basis.
