Job Summary

Responsible for operation, monitoring, optimization, and compliance management of the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system, ensuring complete recovery and reuse of treated water while meeting statutory environmental norms.

Key Responsibilities1. Plant Operations & Monitoring

- Operate and monitor ZLD system components including:
- ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)
- RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems
- MEE (Multi-Effect Evaporator)
- ATFD (Agitated Thin Film Dryer)
- Crystallizer / Evaporator units
- Maintain optimal recovery efficiency and minimize reject generation.
- Ensure continuous plant operation with minimal downtime.

2. Process Control & Optimization

- Monitor parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, conductivity, turbidity.
- Optimize chemical dosing and membrane performance.
- Conduct routine analysis and troubleshooting of process abnormalities.
- Improve water recovery percentage and reduce operational cost.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Identify root causes for scaling, fouling, membrane damage, etc.
- Ensure proper cleaning (CIP) schedules for RO systems.
- Maintain pumps, blowers, evaporators, and associated utilities.

4. Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with SPCB/CPCB environmental norms.
- Maintain daily log sheets, analysis reports, and statutory records.
- Prepare reports for Pollution Control Board inspections.
- Support audits (ISO, NABL, internal audits).

Sludge & Solid Waste Management

- Monitor salt/sludge generation.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal as per Hazardous Waste Rules.
- Maintain manifest and disposal records.

6. Safety & Environmental Management

- Ensure safe handling of chemicals (Acids, Alkalis, Antiscalants).
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain MSDS records and PPE compliance.

Required Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech – Chemical / Environmental / Civil Engineering
- OR ME/M.Tech – Environmental Engineering

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in ZLD / ETP / Industrial Water Treatment
- Experience in textile, pharma, chemical, paper, or dyeing industries preferred
- Hands-on experience in RO, MEE, ATFD operations mandatory

Key Skills

- Robust knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
- Understanding of membrane technology & evaporation systems
- Knowledge of environmental regulations (PCB/CPCB norms)
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
