Lead II – SAP ABAP (ECC to S/4HANA Migration)

Job Summary

The Lead II – SAP ABAP is responsible for supporting ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects with a focus on custom code adaptation, upgrade remediation, and technical development. The role involves working on RICEF objects, SPDD/SPAU activities, performance optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP solutions for ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
- Perform custom code remediation and adaptation for SAP S/4HANA compatibility.
- Execute SPDD, SPAU, SPAU_ENH, and related upgrade adjustment activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Develop and support IDOCs, OData services, and integration interfaces.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and technical optimization.
- Collaborate with functional, Basis, and technical teams during migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
- Support unit testing, defect resolution, and technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Must Have Skills

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise in ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration and custom code adaptation.
- Strong knowledge of SPDD, SPAU, SPAU_ENH, and upgrade remediation activities.




- Hands-on experience with RICEF development.
- Experience with IDOCs, Interfaces, and OData Services.
- Strong debugging, code optimization, and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) and code remediation.
- Ability to work independently and own end-to-end technical deliverables.

Good to Have Skills

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA conversion or greenfield implementation projects.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
- Understanding of SAP BTP and Clean Core extension concepts.
- Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- SAP S/4HANA or SAP ABAP certification is an added advantage.
- Robust communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
