Key Responsibilities

• Prepare US federal and state income-tax returns. • Review client source documents for completeness, consistency, and accuracy. • Prepare supporting tax workpapers, reconciliations, book-to-tax adjustments, depreciation schedules, and related supporting schedules. • Prepare partner and shareholder Schedule K-1s. • Prepare federal and state extensions and support estimated-tax calculations. • Run tax-software diagnostics and resolve standard validation issues. • Perform a detailed self-review before submitting returns for review. • Respond to Reviewer and Supervisor comments accurately and promptly. • Maintain engagement trackers, open-item lists, and return-status updates. • Escalate missing information, unusual transactions, and technical issues on time. • Follow client-specific workpaper, documentation, and filing procedures. • Meet agreed turnaround times and US filing deadlines. • Support and guide junior preparers as experience develops.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. • CA Inter, Enrolled Agent pursuing, US CPA pursuing, or another relevant qualification. • Experience with CCH Axcess, GoSystem, UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake, ProSeries, or similar tax software. • Experience in a US tax outsourcing, KPO, or CPA-firm support organization.



• Experience communicating with US-based engagement teams. • Exposure to partnership, real-estate, multistate, or high-net-worth individual returns.

• Form 1040 - US Individual Income Tax Return • Schedule C - Sole Proprietorship Income • Form 1065 - US Partnership Return • Form 1120 - US C Corporation Return • Form 1120-S - US S Corporation Return • Schedule K-1 - Partner and Shareholder Reporting • Federal and state extensions and estimated-tax calculations • Individual and business state returns Preferred exposure: Form 1041, Form 990, multistate returns, real-estate returns, or complex partnership returns. • Minimum two completed US tax seasons. • Approximately 2-4 years of relevant US taxation experience. • Hands-on experience preparing US individual or business tax returns. • Ability to independently prepare standard returns with limited supervision. • Understanding of US federal and state tax concepts, tax workpapers, and source-document reconciliation. • Ability to identify missing, inconsistent, or unusual information. • Solid attention to detail, documentation discipline, and deadline ownership. • Good written and verbal English communication skills. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. • Willingness to develop technical review and team-coaching capability.
