Purpose/Objective

To lead and manage end-to-end physical security operations of the Solar Manufacturing plant at Mundra, ensuring protection of plant assets, people, materials, and infrastructure. The role is responsible for implementing best-in-class security practices aligned with business continuity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities of Role

1. Security Operations Management - Lead overall plant security operations, including access control, surveillance, patrolling, perimeter protection, and material movement monitoring - Ensure 24x7 security coverage through effective shift planning and workforce deployment - Develop and implement security SOPs, protocols, and escalation mechanisms 2. Asset & Infrastructure Protection - Safeguard high-value manufacturing equipment, raw materials (cells/modules), and finished inventory - Prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access within plant premises - Ensure security integration across warehouse, production, utilities, and logistics areas 3. Risk Management & Compliance - Conduct periodic risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security audits - Ensure compliance with industrial security standards, local laws, BCAS guidelines (if applicable), and internal audit requirements - Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for identified risks 4. Surveillance & Technology Deployment - Oversee CCTV systems, access control systems, boom barriers, RFID and other surveillance tools - Drive digital transformation in plant security (AI-enabled surveillance, analytics, etc. ) - Ensure uptime, monitoring,



and continuous improvement of security technologies 5. Incident Management - Lead incident response, investigation, and root cause analysis for theft, breach, safety/security lapses - Coordinate with local law enforcement authorities when required - Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and escalation to leadership 6. Contractor & Manpower Management - Manage third-party security agencies and guards deployed at plant - Ensure training, discipline, and performance monitoring of security workforce - Optimize manpower deployment for cost and efficiency 7. Stakeholder Coordination - Collaborate with Plant Head, Operations, EHS, HR, Stores, and Logistics for integrated security governance - Support HR in employee verification, visitor management, and compliance controls 8. Crisis & Emergency Management - Develop and execute emergency response plans (ERP) for fire, intrusion, sabotage, or natural disasters - Conduct mock drills and ensure preparedness across teams

Qualifications and Experience

- Graduate / Postgraduate (preferred in Security / Industrial Management / Defence background) - 10–15 years of experience in plant/industrial security operations, preferably in manufacturing (solar, metals, heavy engineering, etc. ) - Prior experience in handling large-scale plant security at remote locations (like Mundra) - Ex-Army / Paramilitary / Police background preferred
