OPENING

This is a plant finance role not a corporate reporting role. You will own product costing, inventory accounting, statutory compliance, and financial controls for a pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad. The work happens at the factory floor level, in direct coordination with Production, Stores, QA/QC, and Dispatch. If your experience is limited to ledger maintenance, MIS preparation, or head-office accounting, this role is not the right fit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manufacturing Accounting & Product Costing

Own product costing across all SKUs and dosage forms maintain BOM-linked cost cards reflecting actual material, labour, and overhead

Track and investigate standard vs. actual cost variances; resolve discrepancies with Production and Procurement

Validate batch and job costing records for financial accuracy

Provide product-level margin visibility to leadership on an ongoing basis

Inventory Control & ERP Discipline

Own reconciliation of RM, PM, WIP, and FG inventory ensure ERP entries reflect actual physical movement (GRN, consumption, dispatch, returns)

Maintain consistent stock valuation methodology; resolve discrepancies at source

Drive ERP process discipline across departments not just your own entries

Coordinate and participate in periodic physical stock verification

Statutory & Tax Compliance

Independently file GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C); perform ITC reconciliation and resolve mismatches

Manage TDS compliance and statutory filings on schedule

β€” Maintain audit-ready documentation year-round; coordinate assessments with consultants when required

MIS, Book Closure & Controls

β€” Own monthly financial closure within defined timelines; prepare product-level P&L;,



margin analysis, inventory aging, and working capital reports

β€” Track cost variances vs. budget; flag risks early β€” reports must support decisions, not just document activity

β€” Maintain internal controls across procurement-to-payment and inventory flows; build and enforce accounting SOPs

β€” Support statutory and cost audits with clean documentation; eliminate repeat audit observations at root cause

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

Total experience: 8+ years in manufacturing finance (not general accounting)

Product costing: Owned BOM-linked cost cards independently β€” not assisted

GST compliance: Filed returns and handled ITC reconciliation without consultant dependency

Audit exposure: Handled statutory or cost audit in a manufacturing entity

Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) β€’ CA Inter preferred β€’ Qualified CA welcome if hands-on
