REQUIREMENT SUMMARY

The Associate, Data Privacy role is crucial in ensuring that our organization's data privacy policies and practices align with industry standards and legal requirements. Located in key Indian IT hubs, this position operates within the ITES sector, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the company's data protection framework.

Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Other Ahmedabad

Description

- 6-9 years of experience in data privacy, protection, or related fields, with a strong focus on ITES sector.
- Proficiency in using privacy management tools such as One Trust, Securiti.ai, and IDfy.
- In-depth knowledge of the DPDP Act and its implementation within organizational frameworks.
- Experience in Data Principal Rights Management and Data Governance processes.
- Robust skills in incident and breach management, including triage and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Rule 6 Implementation and its impact on privacy protocols and policies.
- Ability to prepare and present data privacy metrics and dashboards for leadership review.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct privacy assessments (DPIA) and validate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.




- Produce risk-rated recommendations and control requirements in collaboration with business and legal teams to support data privacy initiatives.
- Perform data discovery, classification, and mapping across structured and unstructured data, maintaining data flow maps for platform teams.
- Draft policy requirements for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), propose tuning and test plans, review incidents, and recommend action plans.
- Run scans for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), analyze exposure and misconfigurations, and track remediation efforts with evidence.
- Review data access permissions and high-risk activities, recommend least-privilege changes, and coordinate periodic reviews with data owners.
- Maintain privacy operations and documentation, including RoPA, notices, consent logs, and retention schedules, and manage DSR workflows.
- Support the handling of privacy and data protection incidents, including triage, root cause analysis, containment recommendations, and notifications.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
