We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 4-12 years of experience for our Mumbai location. This role involves end-to-end mechanical architecture ownership, focusing on new product development, re-design, value engineering, and DFM/DFA principles. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced SolidWorks proficiency, and experience in structural design, tolerance engineering, and various manufacturing processes.

- BE, B.Tech mandatory; 4 to 12 years of skilled experience.
- Experience in New Product Development, re-designing existing products, Value Engineering / Cost Reduction, and System Mechanical Engineering.
- Own the end-to-end mechanical architecture at machine level: define subsystem partitioning, mechanical interfaces, load paths, and packaging strategies.
- Drive cross-discipline alignment with electrical, embedded systems, controls, and manufacturing teams.
- Perform and guide Free Body Diagram (FBD) analysis to establish load cases, validate force transmission paths, and support early architectural decisions.
- Lead modal analysis to control vibration, resonance, and noise in mobile equipment, applying analytical and simulation-based methods to ensure stiffness, stability, and reliability.
- Lead mechanical design using ROTO Mold plastic components, Sheet metal fabrications, and Castings,



ensuring optimal tradeoffs between strength, weight, cost, tooling feasibility, and serviceability.
- Ownership of tolerance stackup analysis at subsystem and system levels to ensure functional fit, assembly robustness, and performance consistency over life.
- Perform tolerance analysis using analytical methods and tools, and define GDT strategies aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) early in the design cycle, collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams to reduce part count, simplify assemblies, and improve build quality and repeatability.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks is essential: create, review, approve, and release designs using SolidWorks, establish mechanical design standards, modeling best practices, and drawing guidelines, and lead design reviews at architectural, detailed design, and production readiness stages.
- Experience with tolerance analysis tools (Enventive) is required.
