The Role
As our Sales Manager, you will be the driving force behind acquiring new event portfolios and managing key client accounts. You will actively seek out opportunities with medical associations, academic institutions, and corporate entities, positioning Globewerks as their partner of choice for world-class conference execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Actively prospect, pipeline, and secure new business opportunities for corporate, academic, and medical conferences/events across the region.
- Pitching & Proposal Management: Lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Craft compelling, customized sales proposals and deliver persuasive presentations to C-suite clients, board members, and committee chairs.
- Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging industry needs to identify new revenue streams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with our operations and marketing teams to ensure client expectations seamlessly align with project delivery and budgets.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience,
ideally within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), hospitality, or event management sectors. Experience working with medical or academic associations is a massive advantage.
- Track Record: A demonstrable history of hitting and exceeding sales revenue targets.
- Superb Communicator: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. You can command a room and navigate complex multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
- Tech-Forward Mindset: Highly proficient with CRM tools, sales pipeline software, and leveraging modern digital tools to maximize sales efficiency.
- Autonomy: A self-starter who thrives in a agile boutique agency environment and takes full ownership of their sales funnel.
