Job Description: Bid & Finance Manager (Offshore | Central COE)

Position location: Goregaon East, Mumbai
1. Purpose of the Job
This role is based in the Central COE and provides offshore bid management and commercial finance support to one or more
countries. The position partners remotely with in-country Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and SMEs to deliver compliant,
competitive, and timely proposals, while driving standardization, governance, and continuous improvement across pursuits.
2. Context and main issues
The Bid & Finance Manager (Offshore | Central COE) supports end-to-end bid pursuits for assigned countries, ensuring high-
quality, compliant, and competitive submissions that support growth targets. Working closely (virtually) with in-country
Sales and Operations, the role helps shape win strategies, build a compelling commercial narrative, and develop pricing and
margin recommendations. The position strengthens bid governance and financial discipline across pursuits, and enables a
smooth handover from bid to delivery.
3. Key Responsibilities & Assignments - Indicate the main activities / duties to be conducted in the job.
Bid leadership (end-to-end, offshore): Run the bid process remotely from opportunity qualification through
submission; coordinate inputs across time zones and manage bid rituals (kick-off, storyboarding, reviews).
Win strategy (virtual facilitation): Facilitate win themes, value proposition, and differentiation with in-country
teams and SMEs through remote workshops; drive a clear bid plan, RACI, and timeline.
Commercial finance & pricing: Own the offshore financial workstream for strategic bids (cost build-ups,
assumptions, scenario modelling,
and sensitivity analysis) and align recommendations with in-country Finance for
validation and approvals.
Margin discipline: Develop pricing and margin recommendations that balance competitiveness with sustainable
profitability; prepare approval packs and ensure alignment to delegations of authority and COE governance.
Validation & compliance: Partner with country finance to validate cost inputs, tax/compliance requirements, and
local statutory considerations.
COE governance & standardization: Implement and continuously improve COE bid governance (stages, reviews,
checklists, templates, and content libraries) and ensure timely engagement of stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Finance,
HR, Procurement).
Proposal quality & handover: Ensure proposals meet client requirements and internal brand/messaging
standards; manage final quality control, compliance checks, version control, and a structured bid-to-delivery
handover pack.
Stakeholder management (remote): Build robust working relationships with in-country stakeholders and act as
the central point of coordination during pursuits; proactively flag risks, dependencies, and decision points and drive
timely closure.
Continuous improvement: Conduct bid debriefs, analyze outcomes (win/loss), maintain lessons learned, and
reduce cycle time through process improvements and tooling.
4. Experience & Qualifications -
Must have
8-10 years of experience, including 5+ years in Bid Management / Commercial Finance / Pricing / Business
Development (B2B services preferred).
Strong commercial and financial acumen: cost modelling, pricing, margin analysis, scenario/sensitivity
analysis.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence Sales, Operations,
Finance, and Legal.
Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple bids under tight deadlines.
High attention to detail and a passion for producing client-ready proposals.
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial systems/ERP and pricing tools.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an offshore/COE model, including virtual facilitation, managing
across time zones, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
Preferred
Facility Management (FM) industry experience.
Experience working in a multi-country/matrix environment and managing governance/approvals.
Experience creating proposal templates, libraries, and continuous improvement playbooks.
Experience supporting multiple countries/regions from a shared services or COE setup (portfolio
management, prioritization, and governance).
Success Measures
Improved bid win rate and/or qualified pipeline conversion (tracked by segment and deal size).
Pricing and margin outcomes aligned to targets; consistent use of assumptions and approvals.
On-time submissions with reduced cycle time through defined bid governance and tools.
Audit-ready compliance: complete documentation, version control, and approval trail for strategic bids.
Positive stakeholder feedback from Sales/Operations/Finance on bid support and handovers.
