Job Role: Vehicle Launch Quality Engineer (Interior Body System/Trims)

Experience: 6-10 Years
Location: Chennai

We are looking for an experienced Design / Launch Quality Engineer to support vehicle launch programs for Body & Interior Sub-Systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Support vehicle launch activities and achieve quality targets across all program milestones.
- Drive root cause analysis and issue resolution using 5D, 8D, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Review engineering drawings, GD&T;, and tolerance stack-up to ensure product conformity.
- Support prototype, pilot, pre-series, and SOP builds by resolving assembly, fitment, and dimensional issues.
- Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Production teams to ensure launch readiness.
- Perform part validation, supplier audits, dimensional convergence, and quality reviews.
- Manage engineering changes and evaluate their impact on product quality and manufacturing.
- Track launch quality metrics, supplier issues,



and corrective actions through to closure.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of experience in Automotive Launch / Design Quality.
- Robust expertise in Vehicle Launch Activities and Launch Quality.
- Hands-on experience with GD&T; and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis, 5D, and 8D Problem Solving.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECM) and Part Validation.
- Experience in Supplier Process Audits and Supplier Quality.
- Strong understanding of Dimensional Convergence, Gap & Flush, and Vehicle Fit & Finish.
- Technical knowledge of Instrument Panel, Console, Door Trims, Soft Trims, Bumpers, or other Body & Interior components.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Automotive Quality Systems and Product Development processes.
