We are looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our team, working closely with our Architectural Design Team on residential projects. Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer with 4-5 years of total experience in structural engineering ith a minimum of 2 years of hands-on structural engineering experience, particularly in steel structures and connection design.
The ideal candidate should have a Masters degree in Structural Engineering, be proficient in STAAD.Pro, IDEA Statica and AutoCAD, and possess strong analytical skills to support residential engineering projects.
Mandatory experience in Staad.Pro, AutoCAD and Steel Connection Design.
Experience in more than one of the below skills - Idea Statica , CFS (Cold Formed Structures), LGSF (Light Gauge Steel Frame) or Timber with international (Uk/US/Aus/Europe) project experience is meritorious and will be considered as top priority candidate. Candidates with 2.5 yrs of experience can also apply if you have hands on skills with Idea Statica and CFS / LGSF with Timber or Steel Structures.
Role & responsibilities:
1. Structural Design & Analysis:(Mandatory)
- Assist in structural design calculations for residential projects.
- Support senior engineers in analysing load-bearing capacities and stability assessments.
- Apply engineering principles to ensure safe and efficient structural solutions
2. Steel Connection Design (Mandatory)
- Design and check steel connections using IDEA StatiCa.
- Review connection details and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Assist with preparation of connection calculations and technical documentation.
3. Technical Drafting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and technical reports.
- Work with STAAD.Pro, IDEA Statica and AutoCAD to create accurate Projects.
- Ensure compliance with UK building codes and regulations.
4. Team Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with architects, engineers,
and project managers to develop structural solutions.
- Assist in integrating engineering components with architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Conduct self-checks and peer reviews of engineering designs to ensure accuracy.
- Follow industry best practices and stay updated on advancements in structural engineering.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Masters degree in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering is Mandatory.
Experience:
- Total 4 -5 years of professional experience in structural engineering (Residential sector preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on structural engineering experience, particularly in steel structures and connection design.
- Prior experience working with CFS, LGSF, timber, steel will be meritorious.
Technical Skills:
- Handson experience of minimum 3 yrs in STAAD.Pro, IDEA Statica, Tekla Tedds, AutoCAD.
- 4 yrs of experience of structural analysis, load calculations, and material properties.
- Candidate should have 3+ yrs of experience doing Gravity Calculation and Wind Load Calculations.

- Excellent fluency in English (spoken & written).
