Job Summary

We are hiring Junior Operators to work on our Inductotherm 1.6 MT/Hour Continuous Induction Quench & Temper (IQT) Line. Candidates with basic knowledge of heat treatment, metallurgy, or induction heating are encouraged to apply. Fresh Diploma holders, ITI candidates, and junior metallurgists with a willingness to learn are welcome.

Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in operating the Continuous Induction Quench & Temper Line.
- Learn machine setup and operation for steel bars from 24 mm to 75 mm diameter.
- Monitor heating, quenching, tempering, and cooling processes.
- Help maintain production records and machine parameters.
- Assist in changing induction coils and machine setup for different bar sizes.Monitor polymer quench tanks, cooling water systems, pumps, and cooling towers.
- Support Quality Control during hardness testing and inspection.
- Identify basic production issues and report them to senior operators.
- Maintain housekeeping, safety standards, and 5S practices.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams whenever required.

Candidates will get exposure to processing engineering steel grades such as:

- EN8D
- EN19
- EN24
- 42CrMo4
- SAE 1541
- SAE 4140
- 16MnCr5




- 15B41
- 15B25
- CK45
- S55C
- SAE 52100
- Other carbon, alloy, and boron steels

Basic Technical Knowledge Preferred

Candidates should have basic understanding of one or more of the following:

- Heat Treatment of Steel
- Induction Heating
- Quenching and Tempering
- Hardness Testing (HRC/HB)
- Basic Metallurgy
- Production Process Monitoring
- Temperature Measurement
- Cooling Water Systems
- PLC/HMI Machine Operation (basic knowledge preferred)

Quality Awareness

Basic knowledge of the following will be an advantage:

- Hardness Testing
- Surface Inspection
- Straightness Checking
- Dimensional Inspection
- Microstructure (basic understanding)
- MPI, Eddy Current, or Ultrasonic Testing (preferred but not mandatory)

Candidate Profile

- Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- ITI (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician) candidates may also apply.
- Freshers or candidates with 03 years of experience in heat treatment, induction heating, forging, rolling mills, bright bars, steel plants, or engineering manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy or heat treatment is preferred.
- Candidates with experience on Inductotherm, Inductoheat, Ajax Tocco, EFD Induction, or similar induction equipment will have an added advantage.
- Willingness to work in shifts and learn recent technologies.
- Good attitude, discipline, and eagerness to build a long-term career in steel manufacturing.
