Job Summary:

The Senior Engineer BOM Item Purchase is responsible for managing procurement activities related to Bill of Materials (BOM) items.

This role ensures timely availability of materials, cost optimization, supplier coordination, and adherence to quality standards to support production and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

# Manage procurement of BOM items based on production plans and project schedules

Analyze BOM requirements and generate purchase requisitions/orders accordingly

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.

# Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms to achieve cost savings

Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.

# Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and planning teams.

# Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost.

# Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams for material specifications.

# Identify alternate sources and materials to reduce risk and cost.

# Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and procurement procedures.

# Handle documentation such as purchase orders, invoices, and contracts





Resolve supply chain issues, delays, and discrepancies.

Required Qualifications:

@ Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial or related field)

@ 5–8 years of experience in procurement, specifically handling BOM items

@ Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management

@ Experience with ERP systems ( SAP HANA MM module)

@ Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
