Position Title - Automation Test Lead

Experience - 8 to 15 Years (with at least 5+ years in automation testing and 3+ years in team leadership roles)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Lead who can drive end-to-end automation testing initiatives, lead automation teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and successfully deliver managed automation testing services. The candidate should possess strong technical expertise in UI and API automation, framework architecture, CI/CD implementation, process establishment, team management, and delivery governance.The ideal candidate should be capable of building automation practices from the ground up, establishing standards, defining KPIs, and driving automation adoption across projects while ensuring business value realization.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Framework Development

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and enterprise-grade automation frameworks.
- Lead automation architecture decisions for UI, API, and integration testing.
- Develop and enhance automation frameworks using:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Java
- TestNG
- Cucumber BDD
- Maven
- REST Assured
- Postman Automation

- Establish coding standards, framework guidelines, and best practices.
- Drive framework reusability and automation accelerator development.

CI/CD & DevOps Enablement

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Configure and maintain automated test execution pipelines.
- Integrate automation suites with:
- Jenkins

- Reporting tools

- Support automation execution within DevOps and Agile delivery models.
- Manage environment-specific execution strategies.

Source Code & Environment Management

- Manage automation repositories using Git.
- Implement branching, merging, release, and version control strategies.
- Set up and configure automation environments across multiple machines.
- Troubleshoot dependency management and Maven configurations.
- Ensure framework portability and maintainability.

Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead and mentor automation engineers.




- Conduct code reviews and framework reviews.
- Allocate work and monitor team productivity.
- Establish competency development and technical coaching programs.
- Manage team performance, utilization, and delivery quality.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and skill development initiatives.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary automation testing point of contact for clients.
- Present automation progress, KPIs, risks, and value realization metrics.
- Collaborate with business, development, DevOps, and testing stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and drive stakeholder satisfaction.
- Provide automation roadmap recommendations aligned with business goals.

Automation Delivery Management

- Own end-to-end automation delivery for projects and programs.
- Ensure adherence to quality, schedule, and budget commitments.
- Define automation scope and implementation roadmap.
- Drive successful delivery of managed automation testing services engagements.
- Ensure automation assets are production-ready and maintainable.

Process & Governance

- Establish automation testing processes where none exist.
- Define governance models, standards, templates, and review mechanisms.
- Implement automation lifecycle management practices.
- Define entry/exit criteria for automation initiatives.
- Conduct automation maturity assessments and improvement plans.

Metrics, Reporting & ROI Tracking

- Define and monitor automation KPIs and dashboards.
- Measure automation effectiveness and business value.

- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of delivery risks.

AI-Assisted Testing & Innovation

- Evaluate and implement AI-assisted testing solutions.
- Leverage AI tools for:
- Test case generation
- Script generation
- Self-healing automation
- Test data generation
- Defect analysis

- Drive adoption of automation accelerators and reusable assets.
- Explore GenAI-based testing opportunities to improve productivity.

Cloud & Modern Testing Platforms

- Manage cloud-based automation execution environments.
