- Manage end-to-end heat treatment operations, including carburizing, hardening, quenching, tempering, annealing, and stress relieving.
- Ensure adherence to heat treatment process parameters to achieve required hardness, microstructure, and metallurgical properties.
- Monitor and optimize furnace performance, cycle times, and energy consumption.
- Supervise batch and continuous furnace operations, including atmosphere-controlled furnaces.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and process documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams for smooth workflow.
- Analyze heat treatment defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and cost reduction activities.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for furnaces and heat treatment equipment.
- Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process control plans.
- Lead and mentor operators, supervisors, and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.

Candidate Profile

- 8-15 years of experience in heat treatment operations within the bearing, auto component, or precision engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, furnace operations, and heat treatment process controls.
- Experience in achieving consistent hardness, case depth, and microstructure requirements.
- Proven leadership experience in managing production teams and driving operational excellence.
- Valuable analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering - Preferred
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with extensive heat treatment experience may also be considered.
- Certification in Heat Treatment, Metallurgy, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Systems will be an added advantage.
