Role & responsibilities
- Provide safe and compassionate nursing care to patients.
- Assess, monitor, and record patients' health status and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the doctor.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation.
- Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and proper biomedical waste management.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment, medication, and discharge care.
- Coordinate with doctors and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries.
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes for continuity of care.
- Maintain nursing equipment, supplies, and a clean patient care environment.
- Comply with hospital policies, ethical standards, and nursing protocols.
- Participate in training, quality improvement, and accreditation activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge or Hospital Management.
Preferred candidate profile
- B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Candidates with relevant hospital experience are welcome to apply.
- Sound clinical knowledge and patient care skills.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, responsible, and committed to delivering quality patient care.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital information systems will be an added advantage.
