Role & responsibilities :-

- Execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing for employees in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Process payroll inputs including attendance, leave records, reimbursements, incentives, bonuses, arrears, Full & Final settlements, and deductions.
- Validate payroll data accuracy before payroll closure and salary disbursement.
- Perform payroll reconciliation and variance analysis month-on-month.
- Ensure compliance with EPF, ESIC, PT, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain statutory challans, returns, and payroll compliance records.
- Coordinate with consultants/vendors for statutory submissions and audits where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to statutory timelines and maintain compliance trackers.
- Pass payroll-related journal entries in accounting systems/ERP.
- Prepare payroll reconciliation statements and employee cost reports.
- Support General Ledger (GL) reconciliation related to payroll expenses, provisions, and employee advantages.
- Coordinate with Finance & Accounts team for month-end closing activities.
- Assist in payroll cost allocation and departmental employee cost analysis.




- Support employee tax declarations, tax computations, and investment proof validations.
- Ensure accurate payroll tax calculations through payroll software.
- Resolve employee payroll-related queries
- Provide payroll-related support during audits and employee verification requirements.
- Operate payroll software/HRMS for payroll processing and employee master management.
- Maintain employee payroll records, salary revisions, and statutory data in HRMS systems.
- Ensure payroll data confidentiality, integrity, and system accuracy.
- Generate MIS reports, payroll summaries, and management reports as required.

Preferred candidate profile :-

- 24 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, preferably in small to medium-scale organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience in payroll accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of GL accounting will be an added advantage.

Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll systems/HRMS platforms
