Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering initiatives across z/OS, CICS, DB2/IMS, JCL, and COBOL environments.
- Assess current team structure, skill distribution, and platform health; identify gaps and risks.
- Reduce single points of failure through knowledge distribution and process improvements.
- Drive adoption of up-to-date engineering practices, including Develops using GitLab Enable integration and modernization using z/OS Connect and API-based architectures.
- Improve test coverage and automation across batch and online systems Mentor and upskill team members; build a strong, self-sufficient engineering culture Strengthen operational resilience, monitoring, and incident response practices.




- Define and implement a succession plan to ensure long-term sustainability of the platform.
- Experience with modernization initiatives (APIs, integration, or platform transformation)
- Exposure to z/OS Connect or similar API enablement frameworks Experience with GitLab-based DevSecOps (CI/CD, version control, pipelines)
- Strong understanding of testing strategies and automation in mainframe environments Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and drive transformation initiatives.
